2008 HAJIME : COMPETITION HIGHLIGHT
Congratulations to John Baylon and Karl Medina

Co - Head Instructor of Team Fabrico BJJ / Judo Academy  6 degree Judo Black belt and BJJ Brown Belt  Sensei John Baylon won both his weight and the Open division in the 2008 Hajime Judo competition held at Ateneo.

The highlight of the day was the fight between BJJ Black Belt Mike Fowler  (Gracie World Champion, Pan Am medalist, World ADCC finalist and Head Instructor of Pure Breed Guam ) and Sensei John.

Sensei John  was able to take the match to the ground after countering a takedown attempt by Mike and finishing with an arm bar under the 2 minute mark.

Karl Medina also placed third in the competition which was a great effort and a testament to his skill due to the limited preparation and mat time prior to the comp.

Congratulations from all the members of KMA to Sensei John, Karl and the other 2008 Hajime competitors.

We also wish Sensei John the best of luck as he prepares for the Judo Kano Cup in Japan.

John Baylon and Mike Fowler
