Hamir "Gentle Warrior" Achacoso was born in Manila, Philippines in July 11, of 1979 and is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt with over 6 years of experience in both competitive grappling and teaching. He is also a Judo practitioner and an active competitor. Currently he has a rank of 2nd Degree Judo Black Belt. He is the Owner and Head Instructor of Team Warrior Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Davao.

He has a Diploma in Music and also has graduate degree in Inter-Cultural Studies. He is an active storyteller and goes around the country and abroad teaching STS an storytelling method. Hamir is also a professional musician, a singer and songwriter.

Hamir is married to Cathy Barcena-Achacoso and has two beautiful kids Ali and Julfa.
